Is Nidra covered by Insurance?

Because Nidra is a new therapy, most insurance providers may not have a formal policy in place for our product. Therefore, each case is currently reviewed individually, and some cases may require an appeal to secure coverage. Our dedicated Patient Access team is here to guide you throughout the process.

Why isn’t Nidra available in my area?

At Noctrix, our primary focus is delivering exceptional therapy and support services to our patients and healthcare partners. As such, Nidra is currently in a controlled release. As we expand our operations, we plan to reach more markets throughout 2024, with full availability anticipated in 2025. We can’t wait to bring our innovative technology and outstanding support services to your area soon. How can I access Nidra?

Nidra is available with a prescription from your physician. While currently not available in all 50 states, you can check for availability in your area at NidraRLS.com or contact us at (866) EASE-RLS.

Is there a trial period?

Yes, we offer a 45-day trial period. If you and your physician find that the therapy isn’t the perfect fit, you can return the product within this period for a full refund. Contact us for additional details and to explore all terms and conditions.

What's Involved?

Nidra Onboarding

During your Nidra onboarding process, our Patient Access team will ask if you would like to be contacted about the Thrive trial. If you indicate interest in participating, you will be contacted for a pre-screening phone call after you receive your device.

Pre-Screening Phone Call

If you may be eligible, a patient outreach representative will call you, provide additional details about the study, and further evaluate your eligibility

Baseline Evaluation

The study team will speak with you via phone to discuss the trial and answer any questions you may have. If you consent to participate in the trial you will be asked questions about your RLS symptoms, sleep, quality of life and medication usage in addition to standard of care.

Biweekly Surveys

You will be asked to complete a biweekly survey by text or email, throughout the 52 week study duration, to record any lifestyle changes, medication, and RLS symptoms.

Iron Panel Blood Test

You will be asked to visit a lab for an iron panel blood test within 4 weeks following the baseline visit. There will be no cost for you to take this test. However, you will be compensated for your time and travel to the lab.

Follow-up Evaluations

You will be asked to complete 4 follow-up evaluations at the following timepoints after study entry: Day 90, Day 180, Day 270 and Day 365. During these evaluations via phone you will complete surveys about the progression of your RLS symptoms, sleep quality of life and medication usage.

Contraindications
The Nidra TOMAC System is contraindicated for use in patients with the following:

  • Diagnosis of epilepsy or other seizure disorder
  • Active medical device implant anywhere in the body, including but not limited to pacemakers, spinal cord stimulators, deep brain stimulators
  • Metal implant in the leg at the therapy site (not including knee replacements)
  • Known allergy to device materials (or severe previous reaction to medical adhesives or bandages)
  • Cellulitis, open sores, or injury at or near the location of therapy device application
  • The device cannot be used while driving, operating machinery, or during any activity in which electrical stimulation can put the patient at risk of injury

Potential Complications
There is a potential for the following side effects, which are typically mild to moderate and resolve over time:

  • Mild skin irritation from use of adhesives.
  • Temporary interference with sleep while wearing the device. For some people, the device may be uncomfortable. For others, the device may interfere with preferred sleep positions.
  • Proper use of the device as described in the Instructions for Use (IFU) can help reduce or prevent the following complications: Discomfort, paresthesia (tingling or prickling sensation), or otherwise irritating or uncomfortable sensations during treatment. This risk is reduced by adjusting the stimulation intensity.
